Falkensteiner secures Arbatax Park Resort in Sardinia

The Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group will take over management of the Arbatax Park Resort in Sardinia from 2026. An 18-year lease agreement and an investment programme of around €30m mark a strategic expansion in the resort and club segment.

The Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG) will assume operational management of the Arbatax Park Resort on Sardinia’s east coast from February 2026. The basis is a long-term lease agreement with a term of 18 years. Investments of around €30m are planned for the further development of the resort.

Located on a peninsula spanning more than 60 hectares within a protected nature reserve in the Ogliastra region, the resort is one of the largest complexes on the island. With around 900 rooms across seven hotels, the site combines tourism with a strong commitment to nature conservation and environmental protection and has received multiple international awards as an eco-resort.

FMTG plans a phased modernisation and repositioning in line with its own quality and service standards. From 2027, four sub-hotels comprising around 620 rooms are to be consolidated under the club brand “Club Funimation by Falkensteiner”. In addition, the development of a high-end Falkensteiner hotel in the Borgo Cala Moresca area with around 250 rooms is planned by 2028.

With the Arbatax Park Resort, Falkensteiner is strengthening its presence in Sardinia and expanding its existing portfolio to include a large-scale family and nature resort. The group is thus continuing to pursue its growth strategy in the club and beach resort segment.
